In many organizations, holiday requests must be internally approved.
You make your holiday request in your employee portal. Your HR manager or hours manager will then assess the request and accept or reject your holiday request via the task hours request widget.
Holiday requests tab
You can view the status of your holiday requests on the 'Holiday Requests' tab of your employee portal under the 'Status' column. Your holiday request can have the following status:
Request
Accepted
Rejected
Click on the blue 'i' icon in the status column for the status history of your request.
By clicking on column titles of the overview, you can adjust the sorting order of the holiday request overview.
Holiday requests in your time sheet
In your time sheet, you also see the status of your holiday request on the holiday task in the week of your request:

Request holidays using holiday requests
To request a holiday, go to the 'Holiday Requests' tab of your employee portal. On this tab, you can see the status of all submitted holiday requests and you can submit a new holiday request:
| Submit a new holiday request. Here, a short public description can be included. This could be, for example, 'Long weekend in Paris' or 'Summer vacation in France'. This description will also be shown in your planned vacation column of your vacation status tab.
Then, in your request, you can request your holiday using a weekly schedule or a free selection in a calendar. In 'Hours per day', you can for your request:
In the selected days, you can see the days that are included in your request. |
If the schedule functionality of LIFT is not used, the days on which you are not working must be unchecked when requesting a holiday. This also applies when there is a national holiday (regardless of whether the schedule functionality is used). |
